After a decade together, an engagement, five children and years of speculation, Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have finally said "I do".

The football icon and his long-time partner were married on 11 August in an intimate ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, bringing an end to one of the most closely followed celebrity relationships in sport. Their five children were present for the family occasion, making the ceremony all the more special.

Ronaldo shared photographs from the wedding on Instagram, delighting millions of fans worldwide. However, while the images confirmed the marriage, they revealed little about the venue itself.

Although Portuguese media reported that the ceremony took place in Cascais, neither Ronaldo nor Georgina has disclosed the exact location. As a result, speculation has mounted over where the private event was held.

One possibility is that the couple exchanged vows at Ronaldo's own residence. Given the intense media interest surrounding their relationship, hosting the ceremony at their home would have offered the highest level of privacy and security.

Ronaldo's luxury property is located in the exclusive Quinta da Marinha neighbourhood of Cascais. Completed after several years of construction, the mansion reportedly features multiple bedrooms, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a state-of-the-art gym, spa, private cinema, bowling alley and a vast underground garage.

Despite the speculation, there has been no official confirmation that the residence served as the wedding venue. Until either Ronaldo or Georgina comments publicly, the location remains unconfirmed.

A Wedding Long Expected

The marriage had hardly come as a surprise to fans.

Exactly a year earlier, on 11 August 2025, Georgina announced their engagement on social media, posting a photograph of her impressive engagement ring and confirming that she had accepted Ronaldo's proposal.

Since then, supporters have eagerly awaited news of the wedding date and venue.

Ronaldo had previously indicated that he hoped to marry after the FIFA World Cup, although he deliberately avoided revealing any further details. That only fuelled months of rumours about when and where the ceremony would take place.

Speculation intensified at the beginning of August, with social media awash with predictions surrounding the first two Saturdays of the month. The excitement became so great that some fans reportedly turned up at another couple's wedding, mistakenly believing it was Ronaldo and Georgina's.

Now, after years of anticipation, the couple have officially become husband and wife. Yet while the marriage itself is no longer a mystery, one question remains unanswered: where exactly did one of football's most anticipated weddings take place?
