The e-passport program was inaugurated today at the Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.

Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Nasimul Gani, attended the ceremony as the chief guest and formally launched the e-passport services.

Bangladesh High Commissioner to Pakistan, Md. Iqbal Hossain Khan, presided over the event, while Commander Md. Shoaib Khan, Deputy Project Director of the E-Passport and Automated Border Control Management Project, was present as a special guest.

Officials, staff members of the mission, expatriate Bangladeshis, and their family members joined the program.

The ceremony began with the recitation from the Holy Quran and concluded with a special prayer seeking continued peace and prosperity of the country.

The introduction of e-passport services at the Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad is expected to open a new chapter in facilitating people-to-people connectivity between the two countries.
