The Ministry of Religious Affairs has unveiled three official Hajj packages for 2026, paving the way for 127,198 pilgrims from Bangladesh to undertake the sacred journey next year.

The announcement was made on Sunday at the ministry’s conference room by Religious Adviser AFM Khalid Hossain, who emphasised that airfares have been reduced to make the pilgrimage more accessible. Where last year’s airfare stood at Tk 167,820, it has now been lowered to Tk 154,830.

The government Hajj packages are structured as follows:

Package 01 (Special): Tk 690,597

Package 02 (Affordable): Tk 558,881

Package 03 (Economical): Tk 467,167

To ensure safety and health, A F M Khalid Hossain stated that pilgrims aged 70 or 80 and above must be accompanied by someone under 50. Moreover, anyone suffering from a contagious disease will not be permitted to perform Hajj.

Private agencies will also offer Hajj packages, with the standard private package priced at Tk 509,185. Those choosing this package will be allowed to introduce up to two additional packages, expanding options for pilgrims.

The 2026 Hajj is scheduled, subject to moon sighting, for 26 May 2026. Registration will open on 27 July and close on 12 October. Only individuals aged 12 and above who are physically and mentally fit will be eligible to participate.

With reduced airfares and a variety of packages, the 2026 Hajj promises to be more accessible for Bangladeshi pilgrims, reflecting the government’s ongoing commitment to facilitating the journey of faith.
