NASSA Group Chairman Nazrul Islam Mazumder has signed a draft power of attorney to sell several properties in order to pay wages and allowances to workers of his organisation.

The development was announced on Saturday (20 September) through a press release, which stated that the chairman had signed the draft authorisation for the sale of assets, enabling an initiative to liquidate company holdings. NASSA Group authorities confirmed the move.

According to the statement, the sale of these assets is aimed at easing the payment of wages and benefits for the current month. The press release further noted that the chairman signed important documents related to the draft power of attorney for selling various properties to meet workers’ salary obligations.

The properties covered under the signed draft include:

Plot-6, Road 7 in Gulshan

•Five bighas of land and a seven-storey building (total area 206,000 square feet) in Taiyabpur mouza, Ashulia

•Ten bighas of land in Char Chengakandi mouza, Narayanganj

•Various shares worth approximately Tk 86 crore

•A RAJUK plot

NASSA Group stated that, with the draft power of attorney signed, the necessary processes will be completed swiftly so that the assets can be sold and workers’ salaries settled without delay.
