Mirza Faisal Amin, the BNP candidate who won the by-election in Thakurgaon-1 constituency, and Eliza Zaman, elected in the by-election to reserved women's seat-23, have taken oath as members of the 13th National Parliament.

Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Bir Bikram administered the oath to them at his office in the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Tuesday (3 November 2026).

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman was present at the oath-taking ceremony.

Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Barrister Kaiser Kamal, Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni and other whips were also present.

Parliament Secretariat Secretary Barrister Md Golam Sarwar conducted the oath-taking ceremony.
