BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury has pledged that a BNP-led government would introduce PayPal services in Bangladesh to support freelancers and digital entrepreneurs.

“BNP will work to advance the ICT sector. We will stand by those involved in freelancing. PayPal services will be launched so that entrepreneurs can conduct transactions easily,” Khosru said at an event on Friday.

He said Bangladesh’s economic focus must shift toward production-oriented sectors, alongside agriculture and other supporting industries.

BNP, he added, intends to emphasize growth in these areas.

Khosru also stressed the need for a free economic environment to attract local and foreign investment.

“GDP cannot grow solely from the industrial sector. Equal attention must be given to other sectors as well. The creative industry needs strong focus,” he said.

The BNP leader further assured that the party aims to build an inclusive economic system with participation from all.
