President Md Shahabuddin has voiced deep concern over the deteriorating health condition of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.

The concern was conveyed in a media statement issued by the President’s Assistant Press Secretary on Saturday.

The President also sought prayers from the nation for the recovery of the nearly 80-year-old former prime minister, who has been suffering from multiple health complications.

Khaleda Zia was admitted to the hospital again on November 23 with lung infections and cardiac issues.

She is now receiving treatment in the CCU under the close and continuous observation of a medical board comprising local and foreign specialists.
