BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that November 7 marked a turning point in Bangladesh’s progress, as late President Ziaur Rahman brought about major reforms in the country’s political system and state affairs.
He made the remarks on Friday after paying tribute at the mausoleum of the late president on the occasion of National Revolution and Solidarity Day.
Fakhrul alleged that various conspiracies are now underway to undermine democracy.
He stressed the need to continue the electoral and democratic process to properly uphold the significance of the day.
The BNP leader also called upon all to remain united in safeguarding democracy on the occasion of the Revolution and Solidarity Day.
