Ten people are being treated in hospital, nine with injuries believed to be life-threatening, following a stabbing attack on a Doncaster to London King’s Cross train on Saturday.

Two individuals have been arrested after the train made an unscheduled stop at Huntingdon station, where dozens of officers were deployed to assist.

British Transport Police confirmed that counter-terrorism officers are supporting the investigation as authorities work to determine the full circumstances and motivation behind the attack.

Witnesses described scenes of panic on the train. One passenger told the BBC they saw a man with a bloodied arm running down a carriage, shouting, “They’ve got a knife.” Another witness reported that police had Tasered a man on the platform.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer called the incident “appalling” and “deeply concerning,” urging the public to follow the advice of local authorities.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the attack to come forward, as the investigation continues.
