BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia returned home on Friday night after two days of treatment at Evercare Hospital.

Her personal physician Prof AZM Zahid Hossain said the 80-year-old leader was discharged around 11pm following advice from her medical board.

Madam was released after assessing her test results and overall condition,” he said.

Khaleda had been admitted early Thursday for several medical tests.

Earlier, on August 28, she visited the same hospital for routine check-ups and went home the same night.

The BNP chief has long been suffering from arthritis, diabetes, and complications with her kidneys, lungs and eyes, and remains under regular medical supervision.
