Bangladesh has strongly condemned and protested the brutal killing of three Bangladeshi nationals in India’s Tripura state.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs termed Wednesday’s incident as an unacceptable and grave violation of human rights and the rule of law.

The government of Bangladesh expresses deep concern over this heinous incident and urges the Government of India to conduct an immediate, impartial, and transparent investigation into the matter and take sincere measures to prevent the recurrence of such inhuman acts,” the statement read.

It further said that the perpetrators must be identified and brought to justice.

The Bangladesh government reaffirmed that all individuals, regardless of nationality, have the right to full protection of their human rights, even if they accidentally cross to the other side of the border.
