The government today declared November 7 a public holiday to observe the 'National Revolution and Solidarity Day' every year. 

The decision was taken at the 23rd cabinet meeting held at the Secretariat today, chaired by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, said a Cabinet Division press release. 

According to the decision, November 7 will be observed as a 'Category A' day under the Cabinet Division's circular on the observance of national and international days. 

The day will be observed as the 'National Revolution and Solidarity Day' every year.
