A total of 39 police officers serving as Inspectors (unarmed) have been promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

The Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification in this regard on Monday.

Signed by Deputy Secretary Tausif Ahmed on behalf of the President, the notification said the promoted officers will have to submit their joining letters to the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs through the proper authority.

The order, issued in the public interest, came into effect immediately.
