The Bangladesh Army has arrested a total of 1,774 individuals in joint operations conducted since the announcement of the schedule for the 13th National Parliamentary Election, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a statement issued on Sunday, ISPR said that between 11 December and 1 February, a total of 179 firearms and 1,941 rounds of ammunition were recovered during these operations, carried out to maintain law and order.

Earlier, on 30 January, ISPR reported that during joint operations conducted between 23–29 January, a total of 504 suspected criminals, including terrorists, drug traffickers, drug addicts, robbery gang members, juvenile gangs, and thieves, were apprehended.

During these arrests, authorities seized 48 illegal firearms, 75 rounds of various ammunition, 95 homemade explosives, along with other domestic weapons and narcotics.
