BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman will carry out daylong electioneering activities in several districts on Sunday as part of the party’s campaign for the upcoming 13th Jatiya Sangsad election.
The third day of his nationwide campaign will see him attending multiple programmes in Chattogram, Feni, Cumilla and Narayanganj, BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed on Friday.
According to the schedule, Tarique Rahman will start the day at 9:30am by joining a policy dialogue at a city hotel in Chattogram. The programme is expected to focus on the party’s policy outlook, election strategy and the prevailing political situation.
At 11:00am, he will address a mass rally at the historic Polo Ground in Chattogram city. BNP leaders said extensive preparations are underway to ensure participation of party leaders and activists from the port city and nearby districts.
After concluding the Chattogram programmes, the BNP chairperson will head to Feni, where he is scheduled to speak at another public rally at the Feni Pilot College ground.
Later in the day, he will address three successive rallies in Cumilla—at Chauddagram, Suagazi and Daudkandi—before concluding his campaign activities in Narayanganj.
The final programme of the day will be a rally at Kanchpur Balu Math in Narayanganj, after which Tarique Rahman is expected to return to his Gulshan residence in Dhaka.
BNP leaders said the series of programmes aims to directly engage voters across key regions and clearly present the party’s political stance and election agenda.
