At least three people were killed when a building railing collapsed during an earthquake in the capital’s Bangshal area on Friday morning.

Police said the victims were passing by KP Ghosh Street in Kasaituli when the railing of the rooftop of building No. 20/C suddenly came crashing down around 10:38 am.

Their identities could not be confirmed immediately.

The bodies were recovered and taken to Sir Salimullah Medical College Mitford Hospital, said Bangshal Police Station duty officer SI Ashish Kumar.
