The interim government has extended the special executive magistracy powers of the armed forces by three and a half months, the Ministry of Public Administration announced on Tuesday (11 November).
The powers will be in effect from 12 November to 28 February. Military officers on deputation in the Coast Guard and BGB will also exercise the authority during this period.
The powers were first granted to deployed armed forces on 17 September last year for 60 days and have since been extended several times.
