The interim government has appointed new district commissioners (DCs) in 15 districts across the country.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard around midnight on Sunday.
According to the order, Bagerhat DC Ahmed Kamrul Hasan has been transferred to Noakhali, Kushtia DC Abu Hasnat Mohammad Arifin to Habiganj, Bhola DC Md Azad Zahan to Gazipur, Barguna DC Mohammad Shafiul Alam to Dhaka, Sirajganj DC Muhammad Nazrul Islam to Gaibandha, and Khulna DC Md Toufiqueur Rahman to Bogura.
Meanwhile, Sylhet Zila Parishad Chief Executive Officer Sandeep Kumar Singh has been appointed DC of Barguna; BADC Secretary (Deputy Secretary) Md Aminul Islam to Sirajganj; Private Secretary to the Commerce Adviser Md Abdullah Al Mahmud to Magura; Home Ministry Deputy Secretary Abu Sayeed to Pirojpur; Land Record and Survey Directorate’s Pabna Zonal Settlement Officer Miz Afroza Akhter to Satkhira; and Feni Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary) of Local Government Gholam Md Baten to Bagerhat.
In addition, Private Secretary to the Special Assistant of the Chief Adviser (Posts, Telecommunications and ICT Ministry) S M Jamshed Khondaker has been made DC of Khulna, RAJUK Director Md Iqbal Hossain to Kushtia, and Cabinet Division Deputy Secretary Dr Shamim (posting not mentioned in the order).
