BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that no conspiracy or scheme can prevent the upcoming national election scheduled for February 2026.
He made the remarks on Friday following a rally organised by the BNP in observance of National Revolution and Solidarity Day.
Addressing the gathering, Mirza Fakhrul said the spontaneous participation of the people in the rally proved that the BNP is the only strong political force in Bangladesh. “No conspiracy or plot can stop the national election scheduled for February 2026,” he asserted.
Taking an oath before the party leaders, activists, and supporters, the BNP leader said, “Through today’s rally, we pledge to fulfil the 31-point demands in favour of the paddy-sheaf (BNP’s election symbol) by the time of the February 2026 election.”
Let today’s rally be the beginning of a firm response to the conspirators. This should be our sole objective,” he added.
Fakhrul announced that the party’s political programmes would continue in the coming months. “We will move forward towards the election with the people through various meetings and rallies till February,” he said.
The BNP secretary general also claimed that the conspiracies being hatched against the BNP would not succeed.
He repeatedly emphasised the party’s strong position and its uncompromising stance on restoring democracy. “The massive presence of people today is proof that all conspiracies will fail,” he added.
