At least four people have died after a migrant boat carrying 26 Bangladeshis capsized off the Libyan coast, according to the Libyan Red Crescent.
The organisation said the victims were among those aboard the first vessel, while a second boat with 69 migrants — including Egyptians, Sudanese nationals and eight children — also went down, though the condition of those on board remains unknown.
The twin incidents occurred near Al-Khums, about 118 kilometres east of Tripoli, where the Coast Guard and port security teams carried out rescue operations and handed the recovered bodies over to the authorities.
