The results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on October 16, according to Professor Dr Khondoker Ehsanul Kabir, chairman of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee.
He confirmed the date to the media on Monday.
This year’s written examinations concluded on 19 August, while the practical tests were held between 21 and 31 August. More than 1.2 million students appeared in the examinations.
A total of 12,51,111 candidates took part in the exams under 11 education boards across the country. Of them, 6,18,015 were male and 6,33,096 were female. The examinations were conducted at 2,797 centres nationwide.
Under the Dhaka Education Board, 2,91,241 students sat for the exams, followed by 1,33,242 under Rajshahi, 1,01,750 under Cumilla, 1,16,317 under Jashore, and 1,00,135 under Chattogram. In addition, Barishal had 61,025 candidates, Sylhet 69,683, Dinajpur 1,03,832, and Mymensingh 78,273.
Meanwhile, under the Madrasah Education Board, 86,102 students took the Alim examinations, and under the Technical Education Board, 1,09,611 students appeared for the exams.
