Seventeen young men and women in Lalmonirhat have  joined jobs with the Bangladesh Police for just Tk120, the official application fee.

They were appointed as trainee recruit constables (TRCs) following the publication of the final recruitment results.

The selection was conducted under the slogan 'Employment in the Spirit of Service', with officials emphasising that the process was entirely merit-based, transparent and free from influence.

The TRC recruitment test for June 2025 concluded with strict adherence to fairness and eligibility standards.

The results were announced on Friday evening at a ceremony held at Lalmonirhat Police Lines.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Tariqul Islam, who chaired the recruitment board, declared the final merit list.

After the announcement, the selected candidates were greeted with flowers.

Many of them became emotional, shedding tears as they shared their feelings about joining the police force.

Addressing the new recruits, SP Tariqul Islam urged them to uphold honesty, patriotism and professionalism in carrying out their duties, thereby enhancing the reputation of Bangladesh Police.

Senior officials of the district police, members of the TRC recruitment board and officers involved in the selection process attended the event.
