The National Consensus Commission will soon submit its final report to the interim government, Commission Vice-Chairman Professor Ali Riaz said on Sunday.
He made the remarks during a meeting of the commission held at the state guesthouse Jamuna, chaired by Commission President and Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus.
The hour-long meeting discussed the contents of the July Charter, its implementation process, and the political parties’ views alongside the commission’s stance on various issues.
Chief Adviser Yunus expressed satisfaction over the commission’s progress.
Ali Riaz said, “The Consensus Commission has received remarkable cooperation from all political parties. The media has also extended incredible support to the commission.”
Commission President and Chief Adviser Professor Yunus thanked all members for their efforts and instructed them to inform him of the final progress of their work as soon as possible.
Those present at the meeting included Commission Vice-Chairman Professor Ali Riaz, members Justice Md Emdadul Haque, Dr Iftekharuzzaman, Dr Badiul Alam Majumdar, Dr Md Ayyub Mia, and Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser Monir Haider.
Advisers to the interim government Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, Asif Nazrul, and Adilur Rahman Khan also attended the meeting.
