Nurul Haque Nur, president of the Ganadhikar Parishad, has returned to the country after undergoing medical treatment in Singapore for 12 days.
His plane landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday evening, where central leaders of Ganadhikar Parishad were present to receive him.
Rashed Khan, general secretary of Ganadhikar Parishad, said Nur was seriously injured in a baton attack by law enforcement following a clash between leaders and activists of the National Party (Jatiya Party) and Ganadhikar Parishad in Bijoynagar, Dhaka, on the night of August 29.
The incident left him with head injuries and a fractured nose. Initially, he was admitted to Islami Bank Hospital and later transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for further treatment, where he received care for about 18 days.
Despite treatment in Bangladesh, Nur continued to experience some health complications.
Following the advice of a medical board, he traveled to Singapore on September 22 for advanced treatment.
He was treated at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore and remained there for 12 days before returning home.
