Biman Bangladesh Airlines today suspended all Dhaka-Riyadh and Dhaka-Dammam flights until October 17 amid ongoing attacks on airports in Saudi Arabia, citing passenger safety concerns.
The national flag carrier said the suspension would remain effective until October 17, according to Bangladesh time and date.
Biman said passengers would be informed in due course about further decisions regarding the affected flights and any revised schedules.
The airline advised passengers with urgent travel needs to use Jeddah and Madinah international airports for travel to Saudi Arabia or for returning to Bangladesh.
It also requested affected passengers to contact the nearest Biman Bangladesh Airlines sales centre for necessary information regarding tickets and travel arrangements.
Biman said the decision was taken in the interest of passenger safety in view of the continuing attacks on airports in Saudi Arabia.
