The Honourable Prime Minister of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Tarique Rahman, today attended a programme to exchange greetings with prominent members of the Hindu community and distribute honoraria among priests and temple attendants on the occasion of Janmashtami.

The Prime Minister joined the programme, held at 10:00 am on Thursday at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital.

During the event, he exchanged greetings with distinguished members of the Hindu community and took part in the government's distribution of honoraria among priests and temple attendants.

Senior government officials, Hindu religious leaders, priests and temple attendants from various temples and other invited guests were present at the programme.
