A total of 88 people were arrested in separate special and regular operations conducted by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in Motijheel Division on Tuesday for their alleged involvement in various crimes.

Of them, 67 were arrested in different areas of Motijheel Division, including 2 in Motijheel, 13 in Paltan, 4 in Sabujbagh, 23 in Khilgaon, 3 in Rampura, 10 in Shahjahanpur and 12 in Mugda.

In separate operations, Motijheel Police arrested 8 people, while Mugda Police arrested 13. 

The detainees included regular and warrant-listed accused as well as people allegedly involved in various offences.

The arrested individuals were sent to court.
