The Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat today organised an essay competition at the North Plaza conference room of the Jatiya Sangsad Complex to mark July Mass Uprising Day 2026.

Students from Class IX to XI of different schools and colleges in the capital took part in the competition.

Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat Secretary Barrister Md Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan inaugurated the competition as the chief guest.

Welcoming the students, the secretary thanked them for taking part in the competition and stressed the importance of developing proficiency in the Bangla language, proper grammar, correct sentence construction and appropriate word choice.

He advised the participants to remain free from anxiety and present their ideas in simple and clear language instead of making their essays unnecessarily complex, according to a Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat press release.

Encouraging the students to prepare themselves for future leadership roles, he said those aspiring to become Members of Parliament (MPs) or officials of the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat should begin preparing from an early age.

He also underscored the importance of becoming good human beings alongside being good students.

Senior officials of the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat were present on the occasion.
