Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has released a video title “Amar Bondhu Mohajadu jane” highlighting the official visit of Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and the growing partnership between the two nations.
Anwar shared the video on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday morning, where he reflected on the key areas discussed during the bilateral meeting between the two leaders.
According to the Malaysian premier, the discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in trade and investment, energy, artificial intelligence (AI), digital economy, education, human capital development, agriculture, the halal industry and workforce management.
Touching on the Rohingya crisis, Anwar said Bangladesh and Malaysia would work jointly to seek solutions for the challenges faced by Rohingya refugees residing in both countries.
He said the foreign ministries of the two countries, together with ASEAN platforms, would continue engagement with the Myanmar authorities to explore an effective and sustainable resolution to the crisis.
On regional and global developments, Anwar stressed the importance of dialogue, peace and mutual respect in addressing emerging challenges.
Expressing appreciation for Bangladesh as a key partner in South Asia, he said there remained vast opportunities for greater cooperation aimed at boosting economic progress and improving the wellbeing of the people of both countries.
Anwar expressed hope that the understandings reached during the visit would further strengthen Malaysia-Bangladesh relations and create new avenues for future collaboration.
