Additional Secretary Md Rezanur Rahman has been appointed Chairman of the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC).

Prior to this appointment, Rezanur Rahman had been serving as Chairman of the Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla).

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification regarding the appointment on Monday (February 2).

The same notification said that Additional Secretary Md Irfanul Haque of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division has been appointed as the new Chairman of Petrobangla.

Earlier, on the night of January 29, Amin Ul Ahsan, the then Chairman of BPC, was made an Officer on Special Duty (OSD).
