Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus has assured full government support to the family of Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Manch and a potential independent candidate for Dhaka-8, after speaking to Hadi’s brother Omar Bin Hadi over phone on Friday night.

During the call around 9pm, the Chief Adviser said the Advisory Council is deeply concerned and distressed over the attack on Osman Hadi.

He assured the family of maximum government assistance, saying, “I have already held an emergency meeting with several advisers and senior officials of the police and security agencies. Instructions have been issued to arrest those involved in the attack as quickly as possible.”

The Chief Adviser further said the government will bear all expenses of Hadi’s treatment. Depending on his condition, arrangements will be made for the best possible medical care at home or abroad, he added.

“Hadi is someone we all care for deeply,” Prof Yunus said. “We are praying for his speedy recovery and hope he returns to us soon.”
