BNP Chairperson and former prime minister Khaleda Zia is able to receive medical care and is responding to treatment, her personal physician Dr AZM Zahid Hossain said on Wednesday night.

Speaking to reporters around 8:30pm, Dr Zahid said the best possible medical support for Khaleda is being ensured in the country. However, she may be taken abroad if any necessity arises, he added.

He sought prayers and cooperation from all so that Khaleda Zia can overcome this critical health condition successfully.

Dr Zahid also urged people not to pay heed to any kind of rumours regarding her condition.
