Gazipur fire destroys 100 rooms in Konabari Colony

A devastating fire swept through a tin-shed colony in the Jarun area of Konabari under Gazipur Metropolitan City on Wednesday afternoon, burning down around 100 rooms.The blaze broke out at around 5pm at the house of Rumel Pathan in the Jarun area, fire service officials and locals said.According to witnesses, the fire originated from one of the rooms in the tin-shed colony owned by Rumel Pathan. As the flames intensified, the fire spread rapidly to adjacent rooms. Locals initially attempted to extinguish the blaze but were unable to control it due to its severity.Upon being alerted, two units from Konabari Modern Fire Service rushed to the scene and began firefighting efforts.
