Khaleda Zia’s janaza, burial to be held Wednesday afternoon

The janaza (funeral prayer) of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia will be held on Wednesday at 2:00pm at the National Parliament House premises and Manik Mia Avenue.The janaza will be led by the Khatib of the National Mosque. She will be laid to rest beside the grave of her late husband, martyred President Ziaur Rahman, with full state honours.The information was disclosed in a statement issued by the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing on Tuesday.According to the statement, public entry will remain restricted during the burial ceremony, which will be held with state honours.
