Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Adviser to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the Ministry of Water Resources, said that no brick kilns will be allowed to operate in Savar upazila in the upcoming season as part of efforts to implement the declared degraded airshed.Speaking as the chief guest at a meeting held Sunday at the Department of Environment in Agargaon, the Environment Adviser warned that if any kilns operate in violation of the law, all relevant government departments will coordinate to conduct mobile court operations.Mobile courts will be held, if necessary, even at night, to prevent air pollution caused by open burning of waste, illegal lead kilns, and unauthorized pyrolysis factories producing oil by burning tires, she said.She also instructed that building materials kept or transported in open spaces would be subject to fines and confiscation through mobile court action.Rizwana Hasan stressed the importance of public awareness, urging ...
