Popular actress Shabnam Faria has tied the knot in a sudden turn of events.
Sharing her feelings about the marriage, Faria said, “Marriage has always felt complicated to me—nothing less than a fear. After going through various difficult and personal experiences related to it, I thought this chapter might never come into my life again. But with the passage of time and an unexpected family decision, this has now become a reality.”
The wedding took place at a mosque in Madani Avenue, on the outskirts of Dhaka, where Faria and Tanzim Taiyab exchanged vows in the presence of close relatives and friends from both families.
It was a simple ceremony arranged at short notice with limited guests. After the rituals, the actress treated those present at the mosque with dates and nuts.
Her husband, Tanzim Taiyab, hails from Rajshahi. He completed his post-graduation from the University of New South Wales, Australia, and is currently serving as an Assistant Vice President at a private bank in Bangladesh.
Faria said her only sister-in-law could not attend the ceremony as she is abroad. However, the couple plans to host a reception in the future with colleagues, relatives, and close acquaintances.
Shabnam Faria started her career in modeling before gaining popularity through single-episode and serial dramas. She made her silver-screen debut with Anam Biswas’s film Debi.
Earlier in 2018, Faria married Harunur Rashid Apu, but the couple officially divorced after one year and nine months.
