The government has increased retail prices of diesel, kerosene, octane and petrol in the country in line with the global market, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources on Saturday.
The new prices will come into effect nationwide from Sunday (April 19).
According to the notification signed by Information and Public Relations Officer Muhammad Arif Sadeq, the revised prices have been set at Tk 140 per litre for octane, Tk 135 for petrol, Tk 130 for kerosene and Tk 115 for diesel.
The ministry said all filling stations and distributors across the country will have to sell fuel at the newly fixed rates from Sunday.
