The chairman of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartipakkha (RAJUK), Reazul Islam, on Monday assured real estate developers that the authority’s server would be fully operational by February 1 this year.
The assurance came during a meeting between the RAJUK chairman and leaders of the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) at RAJUK headquarters, where issues related to the capital’s development planning, overall progress of the housing sector and simplification of civic services were discussed.
“At present, RAJUK’s server is almost non-functional. However, it will be restored and made operational by February 1,” Reazul Islam told the REHAB leaders.
During the meeting, REHAB leaders urged RAJUK to expedite the approval of designs under the new Detailed Area Plan (DAP). In response, the RAJUK chairman assured them of steps to simplify name mutation and deed registration processes, as well as to reduce harassment faced by service seekers.
“To ease public sufferings, digital services will be further strengthened and transparency will be ensured,” Reazul said.
REHAB Senior Vice President Liakat Ali Bhuiyan, Vice President Engineer Abdul Latif and other leaders were present at the meeting.
RAJUK’s server has been facing repeated disruptions for several months. Although it functioned briefly at times, technical problems resurfaced, causing prolonged service disruptions.
