The Dhaka Stock Exchange Brokers Association of Bangladesh (DBA) on Wednesday expressed optimism that the country’s capital market would be revitalised with the return of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman to Bangladesh after nearly 17 years.

In a press release, DBA President Saiful Islam welcomed Tarique Rahman’s homecoming, describing it as an important and joyous moment for the nation after a long wait.

“We are deeply pleased and excited by the return of Tarique Rahman after almost 17 years,” Saiful said. “We believe that his presence will bring relief among the people and, at the same time, help rejuvenate the country’s capital market, which has been facing prolonged challenges, thereby injecting new momentum into business and trade.”

On behalf of the organisation, the DBA president also wished good health and a long life to former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

He further conveyed his best wishes for Tarique Rahman’s good health, success and a prosperous future.
