Dhaka and Chattogram bourses edged higher in the first hour of trading on Tuesday, with most listed companies posting gains.
On the Dhaka Stock Exchange, the key benchmark DSEX rose by 31 points in the opening hour of the week’s third trading day.
The other two indices also moved upward, with the Shariah-based DSES gaining 9 points and the blue-chip DS30 advancing 17 points.
Of the 236 issues traded, prices increased for 236, declined for 99 and remained unchanged for 50.
Turnover at the DSE crossed Tk 320 crore in the first hour.
The upward momentum was mirrored at the Chittagong Stock Exchange, where the CASPI gained 80 points during the same period.
Among the 114 issues traded, 75 advanced, 26 declined, and 13 remained unchanged, with turnover exceeding Tk 10 crore.
Both bourses showed strong early-session sentiment, supported by broad-based buying across sectors.
