The price of gold has been increased again in the local market within a day, with Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) raising the rate of 22-carat gold by Tk 4,188 per bhori.

According to a BAJUS press release issued on Tuesday, the new price of 22-carat gold has been set at Tk 2,08,471 per bhori, effective from Wednesday.

As per the new rate, 21-carat gold will be sold at Tk 1,99,000 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk 1,70,563, and traditional gold at Tk 1,41,858 per bhori.

Until Tuesday, 22-carat gold was being sold at Tk 2,04,283 per bhori, 21-carat at Tk 1,94,999, 18-carat at Tk 1,67,145, and traditional gold at Tk 1,38,942 per bhori.

However, the price of silver remains unchanged. The rate per bhori stands at Tk 4,246 for 22-carat silver, Tk 4,047 for 21-carat, Tk 3,476 for 18-carat, and Tk 2,601 for traditional silver.
