Tarique, Zaima Complete NID Registration

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and his daughter Zaima Rahman have completed their National Identity Card (NID) registration process.Tarique Rahman completed all NID-related formalities at the Election Office on Saturday afternoon.He had earlier applied online to become a voter before visiting the Agargaon Election Office, where his photograph was taken and fingerprint, iris scan and other biometric data were collected.According to officials, Tarique applied to be registered as a voter of Ward No 19 in the Gulshan area under the Dhaka-17 constituency.NID Director General ASM Humayun Kabir said Tarique Rahman is expected to receive his NID within a minimum of seven hours to a maximum of 24 hours after submitting fingerprints.Zaima Rahman also completed the NID registration process alongside her father, election officials said.
