Referendum Inevitable Even After 100 Years: Nasiruddin Patwary

National Citizens’ Party (NCP) Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary on Wednesday said that the movement led by eight political parties, including Jamaat-e-Islami, is just and logical.Speaking at the launch of the Joint Platform of Health Professionals and Students at Dhaka Reporters Unity, Patwary said, “I believe the eight parties, including Jamaat, will return home only after achieving their goals. The referendum will take place in Bangladesh — even if BNP waits 100 years, they won’t be able to stop it.”Criticizing the BNP, he alleged that the party is engaged in extortion and litigation. “It’s being heard that Awami League’s cases will be withdrawn. In fact, most of those cases were already settled over the past year in exchange for money — as Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir himself admitted.
