DU VC, Proctor ‘Working for Jamaat Agenda’: VP Candidate Quader

Abul Quader, vice-president candidate from the Anti-Discrimination Students’ Union panel in the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (Ducsu) polls, has alleged that the university’s vice-chancellor and proctor are directly tied to Jamaat-e-Islami politics and are using the election as a “power-sharing scheme” under the guise of democracy.Speaking to reporters on Tuesday night, Quader vented frustration over what he described as blatant bias in favor of Jamaat-backed Shibir and BNP’s student wing, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD).“This election has been reduced to a power deal between Shibir and Chhatra Dal,” Quader said.“Inside polling centers, Shibir is manipulating votes, while outside, Chhatra Dal is marching in showdowns.
