Turkish investors eye Bangladesh as BIDA hosts ‘Gateway to Growth’ seminar in Istanbul

The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) has hosted a high-level investment seminar in Istanbul titled ‘Gateway to Growth: Invest in Bangladesh’, aiming to deepen economic ties and attract fresh Turkish investment into Bangladesh’s fast-growing economy.The event, held at Delta Hotels by Marriott in Istanbul Levent, brought together over 30 Turkish companies currently investing or exploring entry into Bangladesh’s market.It was jointly organized by BIDA, the Embassy of Bangladesh in Türkiye, and the Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (MÜSİAD), with technical support from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Bank Group.In his keynote presentation, BIDA’s Head of Business Development Nahian Rahman Rochi highlighted promising investment opportunities in textiles, electronics, and renewable energy—three priority sectors driving Bangladesh’s next phase of industrial growth.There has never been a better time to enter Bangladesh,” he said, citing improvements in macroeconomic stability, export growth, and investor-friendly policy reforms.The government has implemented 32 targeted reform initiatives to ...
