Navy launches operation with 17 warships to protect Hilsa

The Bangladesh Navy has launched a special operation across the country’s rivers and coastal areas to protect mother Hilsa during the peak breeding season.As in previous years, the government is observing the 22-day ‘Mother Hilsa Conservation Campaign 2025’ from October 4 to October 25. During this period, catching, transporting, storing, selling, or exchanging Hilsa is strictly prohibited.
